Flexpak’s Thornton, Colorado location, formerly known as Preferred Packaging Products., was established by Bob Abbott in 1985 in Boulder, Colorado as an industrial products distributor, selling shipping room supplies. Preferred Packaging continued to grow for over 30 years with new capabilities including design and manufacturing of packaging products, as well as equipment automation and distribution services like warehousing, kitting, and assembly of packaging materials. In November of 2020, Preferred Packaging moved to their current location in Thornton, CO. Flexpak acquired Preferred Packaging Products in February of 2023.
